ONE DAY IN NEW YORK

ONE DAY IN NEW YORK

AUGUST 2025 / SUMMER

New York doesn’t ask if you’re ready. It just starts, loud, relentless, smelling of coffee and concrete and something faintly unidentifiable from a cart on the corner. One day. That’s all I had, and the city didn’t care. You don’t sightsee New York, you move through it, block by block, letting it pull you wherever it wants. The weather was doing that rare thing it almost never does, behaving. Sun on your face, just enough of a breeze to keep you honest. No agenda, no reservations, no plan. Just pavement under your feet and a city that rewards the people willing to get a little lost in it. This is what travel is supposed to feel like. Not a checklist. Not a photo op. Just you, moving through something bigger than yourself, taking it all in, knowing full well one day is never enough, but also knowing you got something real out of it anyway.
